Hello! 

My name is Allyson Chun, but if you call me Allyson I probably won't respond. I've gone by Ally for my whole life. I am the middle sister in my family of five. 

I've always been a quiet kid - super shy. So starting a blog with my sister may seem out of character for me. But I have always enjoyed writing and even took it as far as creating an "infamous" story (at least in my household) called Rosa the Great. (I might publish it here, if you're lucky. I promise it's a real treat). But that's all beside the point. We created this blog to share about our lives, experiences, and stories for anyone out there who may want to tune in. 

I guess I should tell you a little more about me. I am 21 years old and have one older sister (Nikki) and one younger sister (Kimme). I recently graduated from UC San Diego with a bachelor's in Economics and a minor in Business. I enjoy boba and raves (your typical ABG) as well as a wide variety of music genres (classic rock, pop punk, reggaetón, alternative, country, edm, and island music to name a few).

Some additional fun facts in case you made this far and want more: 

  • I am irrationally scared of ladybugs and bridges. 
  • I am deathly afraid of spiders. (I cried while trying to kill one)
  • My favorite animal is a giraffe but hairless cats come in a close second.
  • I still mix up my left and rights. 
  • I am INFJ.

  By Ally So as you know, I recently started a 30 day abs & squat challenge . I am about halfway through the challenge now and have already started seeing results. Now this challenge isn't supposed to be some crazy fat burning and muscle building miracle. But I do see some significant differences in my muscle tone of my abs and quads.  I initially went into the challenge thinking it would be easy, but I neglected how out of shape I really have gotten in quarantine. While I have actually lost weight throughout the pandemic, most of the weight I had lost was all my muscle mass. 30 Day Abs and Squat Challenge

 By Ally Chun Last Sunday, I decided to start a 30 day ab and squat challenge that I found on the internet. I figured that this would be a good way to get myself up and moving, even if its only a little bit. With the quarantine and moving back home, I have been unable to go to the gym and have been struggling to get a consistent workout routine down. With this challenge, I hope to bring a little consistency back which will hopefully get me motivated to work out again.  The Challenge The challenge is not so much of a challenge, especially for those who are in shape. The Rule of Threes - Growing up a Middle Child

 By Ally  There has been a ton of research on personality traits developed by birth order. While I do not know much about this subject, I thought it would be interesting to compare these theories with my own experience as a middle child.  Alfred Adler came up with his birth order theory, which attempts to understand personality traits that may be based on birth order. One of the most commonly known segments of this theory is "middle child syndrome." The Middle Child Syndrome is the idea that children born in the middle of their siblings can often feel neglected or overshadowed, but also becomes the peacemaker of the family. Sandwiched between the baby of the family and the first born child, the middle child can often feel lost.  I can see where this theory comes from, however, in my case it was never entirely true.
